Spanda Institute Online Education

Our Online Education platform is a great way to study with us if you cannot travel and attend our in-person events. We are starting with two programs, 200 and 300 hour Yoga Teacher Training courses, but will soon expand to offering single modules, like our popular Spanda Chakra Flow, Yoga and Somatic Awareness or Trauma Sensitive Yoga. We will also offer shorter workshops covering many different topics, from how to sequence a Chair Yoga class for seniors and those with limited mobility, Pranayama, Meditation and Mindfulness workshops, to lectures about Ayurveda, Somatic Psychology, Vegan Nutrition and more.

Both the 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training and the 300-hour Yoga Teacher Training have a mentor support and one-one-one sessions with your mentor, plus a lot of homework and personal feedback from either your mentor or the Program Director. Both of these online Yoga Teacher Training courses are fully recognised by Yoga Alliance. Upon completion, you will receive an Internationally recognised diploma.

 

200-hour YTTC Online

This online training is perfect for Yoga students who have been practising for a while and are ready to learn more but can’t afford to take the required time off to attend an in-person Yoga Teacher Training course. Apart from learning from recorded materials, you will have a mentor for one-on-one check-in sessions, and A LOT of homework with an in-depth feedback.


300-hour YTTC Online

To support those of you who can’t travel, or for whatever reason, attend an in-person Teacher Training but would still like to enhance your knowledge and become more confident in your teaching, we have created this fully online, on-demand, start-any-time program. The program consists of recorded materials and live zoom check-in and Q&A sessions with your mentor, perfect for those who prefer to create their own schedule and study at their pace and time, and enjoy the benefits of personalised, one-to-one’s.


300-hour YTTC Online for Spanda graduates

This fully online, on-demand, start-any-time program is created for those who have graduated from a 200-hour program with us. The program consists of recorded materials and live zoom check-in and Q&A sessions with your mentor, perfect for those who prefer to create their own schedule and study at their pace and time, and enjoy the benefits of personalised, one-to-one’s.


30-hour Trauma-Sensitive Yoga course

We are happy to be able to offer on of our most sought-out modules in this online, on demand format. In the first part, 'Understanding Trauma,' we will explore definitions of trauma, the prevalence of trauma, trauma-related disorders, risk, and mitigating factors. The second part is dedicated to the nervous system and the neurobiology of stress and trauma. The third part is about Spanda Institute's Trauma-Sensitive Yoga principles and practice. We then discuss different Yogic Tools and which are more suitable for the Trauma-Sensitive approach, including separate modules that cover Restorative Yoga and Trauma Sensitive Yoga Nidra. 


10-hour Yoga History Philosophy & Tradition  

This course will cover the long and fascinating Yoga History, Philosophy, and Tradition. Since this is a vast subject, we have divided it into six segments. We recommend you watch each part once fully and without interruption, and then a second time, pausing and taking notes. Each part will have a short quiz, written assignment, or both. You will need at least 10 hours to complete this module.


18-hour Prenatal Yoga Essentials

If you want to learn the basics of the physiology of pregnancy, how to teach a Prenatal Yoga class or know how to advise and adjust your classes to pregnant students at your regular class but don’t necessarily want to do a full 85-hour Prenatal YTT, this course is for you!


Anatomy and Physiology of Yoga

This course covers both Anatomy and, in part, the Physiology of the Musculoskeletal, Nervous, and Respiratory systems and how it relates to yogic practices. It's a broad subject that takes many years to absorb fully, but we hope that this comprehensive curse will help you learn and become more confident in your practice and teaching.


Tools For Growth

This course is created for anyone looking to make a career from teaching Yoga and grow as a Yoga Teacher. All our courses at Spanda Institute are created to help you become a more knowledgeable, competent, mindful, and compassionate Yoga Teacher, qualities that will always be essential for teaching Yoga. However, they are often not enough. You will need other tools if you want to reach out to more people who might benefit from everything you know and build a thriving career doing what you love. We hope this module will help you bridge that gap, grow as a Yoga Teacher, and become not only great but also successful in what you do.
